On Friday, 7th November 2025, during an Extraordinary General Assembly meeting, RWAFFA members elected the Executive Committee for a new three-year term, following the completion of the previous committee’s tenure. 
The meeting was attended by representatives of key RWAFFA stakeholders, including the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and the Private Sector Federation (PSF). Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Ephraim Karangwa, PSF Director of Operations, and Mr. Dieudonné Irizabimbuto, Director of the Legal Affairs Unit, RRA Customs Department.
Seven candidates stood for election to the five positions on the Executive Committee
- Chairperson: Mr. Havugimana Papias and Mr. Rwigema Mugema David (outgoing Chairperson)
- 1st Vice Chairperson: Mr. Nkubito Wilson and Mr. Igena Jean de Dieu (outgoing 1st Vice Chairperson)
- 2nd Vice Chairperson: Mrs. Umutoni Juliet Kirenga (sole candidate and outgoing 2nd Vice Chairperson)
- Treasurer: Mrs. Mukankubana Susan (sole candidate and outgoing Treasurer)
- Secretary General: Mr. Rusagara Alex (sole candidate and outgoing Secretary General)
After the voting process,members reaffirmed their trust in the leadership of the outgoing committee, re-electing all incumbents. The Executive Committee for the 2025–2028 term is as follows:
Chairperson: Mr. Rwigema Mugema David
1st Vice Chairperson: Mr. Igena Jean de Dieu
2nd Vice Chairperson: Mrs. Umutoni Juliet Kirenga
Treasurer: Mrs. Mukankubana Susan
Secretary General: Mr. Rusagara Alex
In expressing their gratitude, the re-elected committee emphasized that the confidence placed in them by RWAFFA members is not merely an honor but a profound responsibility. They pledged to serve with dedication, advance the association’s mission, and leave a positive and lasting legacy. The committee also called on all members to continue supporting RWAFFA through ideas, guidance, and active contributions, as they have consistently done in the past.
